MOTHERING, CAREGIVING.

A Practice for Synchrony.

To balance the body and the mind.

Should you feel compelled.

Lie on your back, knees bent. Notice the spine on the floor. Observe the hips, shoulders, Can a sense of alignment be bought between the two?

Place one hand on the chest, one hand on the abdomen. Notice the breathe.

Notice the pelvic floor and the thoracic diaphragm as you breathe (see note below). How do these feel.

As you continue breathing can you bring a sense of co-ordination or synchrony between the two.

Continue for 5 minutes, or however long feels comfortable.

Note.

The Pelvic floor is the group of muscles and connective tissues that lie at the bottom of the pelvis, attaching to the pubic bone at the front, the coccyx at the back and the sitting bones on each side.

The thoracic diaphragm is an umbrella shaped sheath of muscles and connective tissue that lies of the bottom of the rib cage and assists with breathing.
