Books for Gut Health. 

The gut is an interface between the external and the internal. It produces 90-95% of the bodies serotonin an important chemical for modulating mood and impacting the brain. More than simply digestion the gut plays a role in our immune system, for women, in hormonal regulation and can shape mood and mental health. Below is some suggested reads for understanding gut health and how we may support it. Some of these books may not delve directly into the anatomy and function of the gut themselves but offer insights on food and farming that can directly influence gut health.
