HEALTH, WELLBEING.
Ease.
It’s a counter cultural idea to pursue things in life that bring with it a sense of ease. Our culture has long heralded hard work, stress and strain as a means of progress and achievement. The concept of ease sits awkwardly against these popular beliefs; indeed there is a nuance within it- taking action is an important aspect of realising the life we wish to live and there is a growth that occurs when we encounter discomfort. Yet following our ease where we can may make the times where we feel exposed and challenged more tolerable.
Finding a sense of ease may be a portal for taking us into flow, that synchronous state where the mind is quietened and in harmony with body, replacing a sense of discord between the two. Ease sits opposite force, where force can lead to strain, ease supports. Where force can lead to burn out, ease restores.
Ease may be the antidote to the heaviness, frustration and exhaustion we can all experience. It may make our lives feel lighter.
