HEALTH, WELLBEING.
Kinship.
As people we weave intricate webs of relationships throughout our lives, from the very first ones we form with our caregivers, to our friends, peers, and romantic relationships. These connections are our support, our sustenance.
As adults, we can mistakenly under appreciate the value of our relationships- in some ways we never digress too far in our maturity, from our needs to be in reciprocity with each other. Like infants reliant on caring attuned adults to thrive in their development, our own needs for attunement and social relationships never cease to exist. Human connections are elemental.
Forming relationships has always been an art, challenged in modernity by the dispersal of communities, cultural pressures that idealise individualism, invincibility and capitalism.
In spite of these forces our innate desire for connection is lasting. This ever present need for mutuality throughout life is an orientating force-one that can inspire- a source of hope, renewal and regeneration.
