HEALTH AND WELLBEING.

Non Linear Thinking.

Perscriptions assume that something needs to be fixed, transformation brings forth the healing, the coming to integrity, the wholeness of what is already there” - Gabor Mate.

In health and wellbeing, and in the greater context of life in general, we can be mistakenly led into believing that we, our symptoms and aspects of our life are all problems that need to be “fixed”.“Most of us tend to live in an an inner landscape that believes we are broken” stated Andrew Huberman in his podcast. But we, and life itself are not a continual set of problems. This challenges the very way in which we have come to think as adults. Linearly, that x + and y equals z. Rationally, orderly, sequencially. Linear thinking is favoured because it gives us the illusion of control and predictability, However life, and our health is not predictable or controllable, we are cyclical and layered. A problem encountered maybe an opportunity to pause and observe, to listen to the instinct of the body. Asking of us to develop a greater affinity and connection towards ourselves. Embracing a non linear way of being, can feel a frightening prospect challenging the very order and foundation of the way we have been raised in the world, to develop a new view. When we shed the skin of rigid thinking, slowly, somewhat harshly, we begin to be able to feel, and therefore to heal.
